Facilities include a hotel, licensed restaurants, licensed café & patisserie, licensed supermarket and ski hire services for all equipment and apparel. Lessons are also available. Skiing is downhill and cross country with a beginners' Poma for skiers and snowboarders and 15km of trails around the village, as well as the Mount Hotham-Dinner Plain Link Trail with its amazing views.

There are two tennis courts for hire and Adventures with Altitude, Snowshoe Shuffles and Walkabout Gourmet Adventures also operate from the village.

EFTPOS facilities area available at most restaurants and shops, with all major credit cards being accepted at most outlets. Brandy Creek offers EFTPOS cash-out facilities.

Buses
In the snow season, a free (excluding Hotham Gate Entry Fee) shuttle bus service is available between Dinner Plain and Mount Hotham. Information is available from your accommodation provider or click here for the 2007 timetable

Car Parking
Car parking is limited at most houses and lodges, however a free overnight car park is available for additional vehicles at the Scrubbers End car park, off Big Muster Drive. Contact your accommodation provider for details and map. Please ensure you and your guests don't park on other's property or the roadside as it interferes with snowclearing operations. Crystal Creek Resort and High Plains Lodge provide on-site parking for all guests. When parking your vehicle in winter, please ensure that you have anti-freeze in the coolant system, and do not engage the handbrake (the brakes may freeze).

DVD Hire
DVD Hire is available overnight from Brandy Creek Cafe. DVD players are also available for hire if required.

Fire Brigade
The Mt Hotham-Dinner Plain CFA Fire Brigade is manned by volunteers all year round. The fire stations are located in Tower Road, Dinner Plain and on the Great Alpine Road, Mount Hotham (near Big D). Business phone is 5759 3089 and for Fire Calls 000.

Brandy Creek Café and Dinner Plain Visitor Information Centre have Internet access available for a fee.

Brandy Creek Cafe operates as a community postal agency, including post box rental, parcel collection and postage stamp sales. Stationery is also available.

Safety
If you are planning an outing in the Alpine High Country, please be aware that weather conditions can change dramatically, without warning. Be prepared, advise someone of your intentions, dress appropriately and take waterproof clothing. It is advisable to take plenty of water and snacks for refreshment.

Snow Chains
Snow chains are required to be carried by law during the winter season and must be fitted where directed.
