The highest bitumen
road in Australia is a great place for incredibly scenic road cycling
sessions in summer, particularly for those competitive riders wishing
to engage in altitude training.
A simple ride between Dinner Plain and Hotham is
a great way to escape the everyday in amongst the high country snowgums.
Why not challenge yourself with a journey to Omeo or Harrietville
(yes it is steep but fortunately most of it is downhill!).
New in 2007 is the annual Dinner Plain Festival
of Cycling to be held each February, see the events
section for more info.
